Maureen Gilbride-Redman, M.P.A.

Assistant Director, CCSAR-Center for Community and School Action Research

B.A., Providence College; M.P.A., University of New Haven.

Biographical Sketch:
Maureen Gilbride-Redman is the Assistant Director and business manager for the Center for Community and School Action Research (CCSAR), Southern Connecticut State University.  CCSAR is an official center in the Connecticut State University system.  Before joining CCSAR, Ms. Gilbride-Redman worked many years in the health care industry as a marketing professional.

Ms. Gilbride-Redman earned her B.A. with honors from Providence College in Humanities and a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of New Haven, with a concentration in personnel and labor relations. She has also completed course work at Fairfield University in advertising and communications.

Ms. Gilbride-Redman has served as a Title I tutor in the North Branford, Hamden and North Haven School Systems.  She has also taught math for the Adult Education Program in Branford, CT.

Ms. Gilbride-Redman has coordinated and conducted research and evaluation for federal and state initiatives directed by CCSAR.  These programs include the Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative, Early Reading Success Institutes Program and Project STARS:  Striving to Achieve Reading Success.  She also assists in the writing and editing of evaluation reports and other publications published by CCSAR.  Additionally, she has written numerous brochures and newsletters for several non-profit organizations.

Ms. Gilbride-Redman is also responsible for the annual SCSU Educator Preparation Program Evaluation Report for the School of Education.  This is in response to federal and state mandates to ensure and maintain accrediation.

Ms. Gilbride-Redman is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum and Development and holds a certificate of completion from the NIH in Human Participants Protection Education for Research Teams.
